Grandpa Eric's Pecan Pie

Large Eggs

1 teaspoon

Vanilla

1 cup

Dark Corn Syrup

1 cup

Brown Sugar (Packed)

3 tablespoons

Butter

1

Pie crust

3/4 bag (16 oz)

Pecans

and   

 

2 tablespoons

Butter

3 tablespoons

Brown Sugar

1/4 bag

Pecans

Whip eggs and mix in melted butter, vanilla, corn syrup, and brown sugar.  Pour mix into pie crust and add 3/4 bag of pecans.  Bake for 40 minutes at 370 degrees.

On the stove top, combine 1/4 bag of pecans, 2 tablespoons of butter, and 3 tablespoons of brown sugar.  Simmer until pecans are soft.  Sprinkle (or arrange) pecan on top of pie.

Let cool. 

Eat the damn pie.  Where is the Jack Daniels??
